Anant Ambani, aged 28, the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries Limited, and philanthropist Nita Ambani, is preparing to exchange vows with Radhika Merchant, aged 29, the daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant and his wife Shaila Merchant.
While the wedding date is set for later this year, a lavish three-day pre-wedding celebration is scheduled to take place in Gujarat’s Jamnagar city from March 1 to 3.
According to reports from Moneycontrol, The Jardin Hotel’s management revealed that the event will feature approximately 2,500 dishes with a diverse global menu, including Thai, Japanese, Mexican, Parsi, and Pan Asian cuisines, spread across four meals each day.
The culinary extravaganza will commence with a breakfast spread offering 75 dishes, followed by a lunch buffet comprising over 225 items. Dinner will boast around 275 delicacies, while a midnight feast will offer more than 85 options, continuing until 4 am. This late-night spread, tailored for international guests, promises a unique gastronomic experience, with each dish meticulously prepared under strict guidelines to ensure variety throughout the 12 meals over three days.
A team of 65 chefs, including 20 women, along with four trucks loaded with ingredients, will travel from Indore to Jamnagar for the event.
Additionally, reports suggest the setup of a special Indore Sarafa Food Counter, showcasing popular delicacies such as Indori kachoris, poha jalebi, bhutte ki kees, khopra patties, upma, and other authentic dishes, offering guests a taste of regional flavors.
The pre-wedding celebrations are themed, with Day 1 titled “An Evening in Everland,” featuring an “elegant cocktail” dress code. Day 2, named “A Walk on the Wildside,” encourages guests to embrace a “jungle fever” attire. The final day comprises two events: “Tusker Trails,” suggesting “casual chic” dressing, and the grand finale, “Hastakshar,” calling for an elegant evening adorned in heritage Indian attire.
Notable personalities expected to attend include Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Morgan Stanley CEO Ted Pick, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Disney CEO Bob Iger, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, Adnoc CEO Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, and EL Rothschild chair Lynn Forester de Rothschild, along with several other prominent figures from India’s business and entertainment spheres.
Adding to the allure of the celebrations, renowned international artists such as pop sensation Rihanna and illusionist David Blaine are slated to entertain guests with their performances. Meanwhile, top Indian musicians including Arijit Singh, Ajay-Atul, and Diljit Dosanjh will serenade attendees, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all.
